Where Are Downloads Saved on Android?
Browser downloads normally go to the device’s configured download location and can be found from Chrome Downloads or the Files app.
Short answer
On Android, first open Chrome, choose More, then Downloads. You can also open Files and check Recents, Downloads, or the matching media category. The exact folder can differ if you changed the browser download location or use another browser.
Check Chrome Downloads first
- 1
Open Chrome on the Android device used for the download.
- 2
Tap More and choose Downloads.
- 3
Sort by date and look for the file name or media type shown by SnapVideoTools.
Find the file with Files
Open Files by Google or the device manufacturer’s file manager. Check Recents and the Downloads folder, then look under Videos, Images or Audio if the file was categorized automatically.
If the file is not there
- Confirm that the download completed rather than only opening a preview tab.
- Check whether Chrome blocked or paused the download.
- Check another browser’s own Downloads list if Chrome was not used.
- Review the browser setting for a custom download location or SD card.
Web downloads and Android App files
A browser download and a file managed inside the SnapVideoTools Android App may appear in different histories or folders. Check the product that actually started the download.
